ABOUT MALTA
The Maltese archipelago consists of a group of 6 small islands situated in the heart of the Mediterranean, at the south of Sicily. The biggest islands, Malta and Gozo, attract over a million visitors a year. The sunny islands boast of beautiful crystal clear waters, golden beaches, spectacular scenery, pretty rural villages and friendly locals, which make Malta an ideal destination for any traveller. Malta offers a huge choice of leisure activities, water sports and nightlife. A ferry can get you from one island to another and it is very easy to travel around the island
Although Malta has a population of 400,000 inhabitants, it also hosts 1.2 million tourists and English language students, through out the year. Malta is a member of the European Union and will adopt the EU currency by January 2008. The island offers a variety of bars, clubs, wine bars and excellent restaurants presenting a mixture of Mediterranean and International cuisines. Restaurants and Bars are situated all over the island, however the hottest club scene is found in Paceville in the heart of St. Julians, which consists of several clubs were world famous DJs regularly play.
